Coping through Christ

From the December 1983 issue of The Christian Science Journal

When one is faced with a problem, a sickness, a feeling of confusion, how comforting it is to know that God is ever at work in one's life, bringing forth solutions, healing, and direction. We need have no fear that we cannot cope. With God's help and the guidance of His Christ, we can do even more; we can triumph.

In Christian Science, Christ is seen as something more than Jesus' last name. Christ is Truth, God's spiritual idea, even His pure and perfect nature. Christ is that divine element within individual human consciousness which results in spiritual illumination and guiding intuition. Such Christly light leads to demonstration and healing.

It takes the action of the Christ within one's thought to give oneself effective Christian Science treatment. God's Christ originates our healing prayers. Every saving, right idea that comes to us is evidence that Christ is with us and at work in our behalf.
