The Christian Science nurse as witness

From the March 1984 issue of The Christian Science Journal

A Christian Science nurse has a role in healing because healing has a role in her/his thought. The activity of healing has become imperative in consciousness.

In close contact with patients on a daily basis, the nurse may, however, feel challenged by what the physical senses are presenting. One may serve on cases that seem incurable, contagious, or very slow in progress. But every case is an opportunity to be a witness to Truth by acknowledging Truth's healing power. Patient and Christian Science practitioner are working together for healing. And the nurse supports this purpose.

The Bible and the writings of Mrs. Eddy give one a rich preparation for this supporting role. One may research such terms us fact, evidence, law, testify, using the Concordances to the Bible and to our Leader's writings. The spiritual view of these terms brings one a firm foundation for seeing oneself as a witness.
