On June 2, 1986, Michael D. Rissler, C.S.B., of Tampa, Florida, became an Associate Editor of The Christian Science Journal, the Christian Science Sentinel, and The Herald of Christian Science. He succeeds Barbara-Jean Stinson, C.S.B., who asked to return to the full-time practice and teaching in San Diego, California.

As an author of frequent articles in the periodicals, Mr. Rissler is already known to many readers. He is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he received a B.A. degree, and of Boston University, where he received the Th.M. degree. He is in the full-time public practice of Christian Science and is an authorized teacher of Christian Science. Until taking up his present duties, Mr. Rissler served as Committee on Publication for the State of Florida. He is currently a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Tampa. In this and previous branch churches, he has served in a wide variety of activities, including Sunday School teacher, member of the Executive Board, and First Reader.

Mr. Rissler's editorials will begin appearing in October issues of the Sentinel and Journal, and subsequently in the Heralds.
