We don't have to take a look at a newspaper to know that the world has need of healing. We need only glance at our own backyards and main streets. What is not so obvious is the fact that the means for eliminating the world's ills is right at hand. This means is not a new technical discovery but the ever-present Christ, which destroys evil, sin, sickness, and death by revealing the divine power and presence.
Today the Christ, the true idea of God, is available to all through its healing Science. To the extent that we who have already found this Science of Christ are faithfully accepting and living it, we are a light to the world. Our demonstrations of the healing and saving power of divine Truth and Love stand as a banner waving above the crowds, proclaiming that this is the way to liberty.
The spiritual requirements Jesus set for his disciples are universal ones. He commanded, "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." Matt. 10:8.
