The Cause of Christian Science in its early days was attracting workers from around the world. They were moved by a vital spirit and the conviction that this Cause was greater than all others, and they gave it their all. This series explores some of what lay behind the commitment these individuals made.
These words tell us a great deal about the character of their author, Minnie Adelaide Still, who for the last three and one half years of Mrs. Eddy's life served as her personal maid and attendant.
In interviewing Miss Still for the job, Mrs. Eddy asked her if she had come to Christian Science for physical healing. Miss Still replied, "No; but because I was hungry to learn the truth about God." 2
