How do we hallow God's holy name?

From the June 1987 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The name of something denotes its essence and nature. God's essence and nature are holy, a word which includes the meanings "spiritually whole, inviolable, perfect." Recognizing the essence and nature of God as characterized by these qualities, we hallow His holy name. To hallow, according to one dictionary, means "to look upon as holy."

The holy nature of God is pure. He is Spirit, wholly good. The creation, His expression, is therefore spiritual and good. In fact it is perfect and holy. God's creation, expressing the divine allness, is unfragmented completeness. All His creation bears His name, is endowed with God's qualities, expresses the character of infinite divine Love.

To hallow His name, therefore, does not mean merely to show an emotional veneration but to have a constant consciousness of God's ever-presence and omnipotence without any other presence or power. And it means to act accordingly in our daily life.
