I am indeed grateful to glorify God for the vivid examples I've had of His all-power.
While on holiday from college one time I found myself stranded in a distant city with car trouble. Since it was a holiday weekend, no garage was open for repair work. I was only halfway through my journey, with a hundred miles of icy, mountainous terrain to go. I felt as bleak as the surrounding winter landscape looked, and very lost and alone.
I was just able to drive the disabled car into one of the few open gas stations. The attendant tried to stop the radiator leak, but to no avail. In this desperate state I instinctively reached for my Bible and for Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, which I habitually carry when traveling. Having been raised in Christian Science, I've had many healings, and I knew I could trust God now, also.
