From the May 1989 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The 1989 Annual Meeting of The Mother Church convenes in Boston at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 5, in The Mother Church Extension. As Mrs. Eddy provides in the Manual of The Mother Church (Art. XIII, Sect. 1), "These assemblies shall be for listening to the reports of Treasurer, Clerk, and Committees, and general reports from the Field."

The proceedings of the meeting can be heard simultaneously in French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.

This year Annual Meeting will be broadcast via shortwave radio during the week following Annual Meeting as a publishing activity of The Christian Science Journal and The Herald of Christian Science. The listening audience will include Africa, Asia, Europe, and North and South America. For further information about the shortwave broadcasts, please consult the pullout folder in the center of this issue. In addition, a letter is being sent to branch churches and societies throughout the world with specific times and broadcast frequencies.
