One hundred years ago Mary Baker Eddy ordained the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures as pastor for the Church of Christ, Scientist. This year's Annual Meeting continues our Church's focus on Science and Health by considering the textbook's role, together with the Bible, as the pastor. The magnitude of our Leader's step calls on us to give fresh proof of the pastor's healing and saving mission to the world.
In order to involve as many as possible in this commemoration, each branch church, society, budding branch, and Christian Science university and college organization is invited to hold its own special meeting focusing on the pastor on Monday, June 6, 1994, the same day as the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church. In addition to members' participation, each special meeting could embrace families, friends, and others who would be interested in getting to know our pastor. This can be an invigorating occasion to recognize the extraordinary accomplishments of the pastor in the community.
Plans for each meeting will evolve naturally from prayer and inspiration and in response to the particular needs of your neighborhood. A number of articles on the pastor have appeared in the periodicals, and more are planned.
