Christian Science lectures: meeting the public, sharing the message, sponsoring the new century

Over the past year, The Christian Science Journal has been reporting on the healing mission, purpose, focus, and current priorities of the Church of Christ, Scientist. Senior managers at The Mother Church have been invited to write brief accounts of how workers in their areas of activity are approaching these goals. This month, Jon Harder, chairman of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, reports on efforts to be alert and responsive to the public's search for spiritual answers and to help people have a better understanding of Christian Science and its healing ministry.

We already in the one-hundredth year of the Board of Lectureship, which Mary Baker Eddy established to make her discovery of the Science of Christ more widely and correctly known. Here are some facts about this work you may not know, which link the past and present as well as chart the future:
