The supreme law of divine Love perpetually governs the entire universe and everything within it. When we clearly understand and conscientiously affirm that this law is always in operation, we experience the omnipotent power of God in our lives. Through this confident, spiritual knowing of our relation to divine Love and the exercising of our God-ordained freedom from evil, we can heal any discordant condition.
How do we acquire the Christly confidence and clear, spiritual understanding of divine Love's nature that allow us to heal in the way Christ Jesus did? A humble desire more fully to understand God, and man's oneness with Him, is the first step.
Christ Jesus, the master Metaphysician, gave instructions on the how of Christian healing in his Sermon on the Mount, which includes the Beatitudes and the Lord's Prayer. See Matt., chaps. 5-7. When utilized, these precious ideas are just as effective today in healing as they were two thousand years ago. One simple but profound statement we find in the Beatitudes is "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." Matt. 5:8. This particular beatitude, when understood spiritually and adhered to with childlike confidence, is far more potent for achieving good than one could ever imagine.
