One recent Saturday morning I became ill with flu symptoms. I was scheduled to work in the Christian Science Reading Room, that afternoon, and to do some visiting afterward. I considered canceling these plans, but I knew these activities were right and good, so I proceeded with the day's schedule.
As I drove to the Reading Room I thought deeply about the fact that God is all Being, the only Being. I knew that discord of any sort had no place in God's allness.
When I arrived at the Reading Room, I greeted a visitor with the words "How are you?" The visitor good-humoredly responded, and as we talked, his words helped me to realize that because God is eternally perfect and harmonious, man, as the expression of God's being, is also eternally perfect and harmonious. Within ten minutes, all pain and discomfort were gone, and I enjoyed a happy and productive afternoon.
