A caring, Christian community on campus

From the October 2001 issue of The Christian Science Journal

AT TIMES I have thought appreciatively of the early Christians and how they must have banded together to support each other during the establishment of Christianity around the ancient world. My interest in Christianity and the establishment of a Christian community began in college, where I attended the Christian Science college organization [CSO].

The CSO provided me with a Christian community, as well as an evangelical mission.

At first, my attendance was motivated by the desperation I felt and the yearning for a deeper understanding of the meaning of life. My goal at that time was to find answers to the ontological questions that were percolating in my consciousness: Who am I? Why am I here? What is my purpose?
