Sometimes when people tell about the ways their prayers have been answered, it may be tempting to compare their outcome to our own experience—perhaps feeling that somehow our outcome didn't quite measure up, or even that our answer was better than theirs. But such attitudes deny the nature of God as divine Love. In her chapter called "Prayer" in Science and Health, Mary Baker Eddy points out, "Love is impartial and universal in its adaptation and bestowals." Science and Health, p. 13.

Something that happened in college made me realize that each individual is on his or her own spiritual journey, each with different needs and different lessons to learn. God is infinite and has unlimited ways in which to bless His children—ways that are always individually tailored to meet the need of the moment in the most appropriate way.
