"It was just over the moon—absolutely inspiring! I felt it energized the people who came to the meeting in Boston and spiritual seekers from around the world. I'm just very excited about the progressive message of the whole week, and I have a renewed appreciation for the courage of The Christian Science Board of Directors in holding to Mary Baker Eddy's vision for this Church. And I also feel very excited about Christian Science and sharing Science and Health."
These were the words of just one of the attendees at 2002 Annual Meeting & Conference, held in Boston June 1–5. Nearly 7,000 people from countries around the world—from Chile to Austria to Cuba to India—were in attendance at the meeting and conference, which generated powerfully healing ideas showing dramatic change for good in the world.
The thrust of the meetings was that the teachings of Christian Science transcend the concept of a religious institution. That the healing ideas in Mary Baker Eddy's book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures are available for—and becoming part of—millions of lives all over the globe. That Mary Baker Eddy designed her church to respond with the message of Science and Health to the very real spiritual hunger that permeates this planet, especially in the beginning years of the 21st century.
