A medical doctor, Jim is the resident physician for a 22-bed, government-funded inpatient drug and alcohol detoxification center in the Greater Vancouver, British Columbia, area. Jim has spent 38 years in the practice of medicine. He is also a regular reader of Mary Baker Eddy's book, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, which he makes a part of his day, every day. In this first of a two-part series, Jim tells the Journal's Managing Editor, Rosalie E. Dunbar, about the spiritual journey that led him to Science and Health.
