GLIMPSES OF GRACE

IN MY FATHER'S HOUSE

From the February 2006 issue of The Christian Science Journal

WE HAD BEEN PROMISED A THREE-BEDROOM FLAT IN LAGOS. The landlord had collected our money. All we needed was the key.

We felt a small sense of urgency about getting packed into our new place. We had been living in a company house, so after my husband lost his job, the house wasn't ours anymore. They gave us a month to move. But we didn't want time to run out.

We thought our problems were solved when we found that three-bedroom flat. Yes, I said to my husband, this is the answer. Now we have a place for our children to lay their heads. Praise God for that. Praise God for His goodness.
