Really? Wow. Doesn't seem possible, right? Yet, as we say goodbye to 2007, we find ourselves with another year rolling out before us. A year that has the potential for all of us to meet our goals, further our growth, learn new lessons, and discover more about life. And we here at the Journal, too, look forward to the coming year to discover more about our mission. About how we can bring you more in-depth articles, testimonies of healing, and interviews that can help everyone understand more of the timeless, universal laws of God, called Christian Science—the metaphysical laws that support the entire universe, that exist everywhere, now and forever.
This month, we begin our series of feature articles on the seven synonyms for God that Mary Baker Eddy included in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. And January, a month of new beginnings, of fresh resolve, and bright promise, seemed an appropriate time to explore the subject that everyone on this planet wants to know more about: LIFE! Our contributors to this feature—Christian Science practitioners and teachers John Tyler and Marta Greenwood—explain through the lens of Christian Science why each of us can rest assured that our life will never end. That all life is immortal and indestructible.
So join us over the coming year as we explore the other six synonyms for God—Soul, Spirit, Truth, Love, Principle, Mind—as well as many other metaphysical subjects that we hope will help speed you toward healing and peace. And in the meantime, all of us at the Journal wish all of you, our treasured readers, a bright and harmonious HAPPY NEW YEAR!
