From the October 2008 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Mary Baker Eddy uses the word "nurse" only a few times in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. In one fascinating passage, she describes the qualities of an ideal nurse in some detail. She made numerous edits to this paragraph over the years; her final revisions came in 1907, about one year before writing the Christian Science Nurse By-Law.

3rd (1881), p. 187
