1. A native of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Lyle Young grew up attending Canada's largest Protestant denomination, the United Church of Canada. Today, Lyle, who is a Christian Science practitioner and teacher, says that his ideal day includes two hours of Bible study. "Making Bible study a priority helps me approach life with freshness, spontaneity, and joy," he says. Read his article, "The Bible: A Source of Inspiration for All Time." Page 10.

2. After successfully researching, writing, and defending two PhD dissertations and authoring dozens of scholarly articles and ten books, Annette Kreutziger-Herr has learned something vital—about how to learn, and how to express who you truly are at exam time. This basic something flourishes through childlike openness and spiritual intuition. Read her article, "To Study Well." Page 26.

3. In 2005, after a life-changing tour of Israel and Jordan, Deanna Mummert left her successful career with a Fortune 200 Company in the energy industry. She is now pursuing a double masters, one in Bible studies and one in peace and justice at Earlham School of Religion (a Quaker school) in Richmond, Indiana. Read Deanna's article, "Persistent Peace." Page 30.
