As a child I suffered from periodic attacks of catarrh or sinus congestion, considered by doctors to be hereditary. At the time, my family had not heard of Christian Science and there was not much that the medical profession could offer in the way of a permanent solution.
My mother was introduced to Christian Science when I was about ten years old, and we both had some wonderful healings, but these congestive illness bouts would still come occasionally. I would pray and have help from a practitioner, but they would still recur.
About ten years ago, my husband and I were in England (my country of origin) and staying with members of my family. One evening, the topic of conversation was on past family history and I got drawn into some negative recollections. The next morning, I felt this problem of catarrh coming on.
