In Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, the sixth tenet of Christian Science commands us “to watch, and pray for that Mind to be in us which was also in Christ Jesus; …” (p. 497). That prompted me to look at a map and the 24 time zones around the world.
I pinpointed all the places—churches, societies, practitioners, and teachers—where there’s a Christian Science presence as listed in the Journal. There is a presence in all the 24 time zones. So when I wake up in the morning, I say to myself, “It’s my turn!”
Starting my day with gratitude to God and to Mary Baker Eddy for her discovery of Christian Science, helps me to listen for what I can do to serve God. Then I get up to study and pray with the Christian Science Weekly Bible Lesson.
There is also a great togetherness in knowing that there are Christian Scientists all around the world doing the same thing. We are all connected.
