“There are more than 800 reminiscences in The Mary Baker Eddy Library,” said Phebe Bergenheim, “so we started out by reviewing the recollections from workers we knew about from other biographies and from the early history of Christian Science.” As Manager of General Publications for The Christian Science Publishing Society, Phebe was speaking about the expanded edition of We Knew Mary Baker Eddy, which became available last fall.
“One of our main criteria for choosing them was the answer to this question: Does the reminiscence shed new light on Mrs. Eddy? Does it help us learn more about her and the Christian Science movement?”
