From the May 2013 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I decided to subscribe to The Christian Science Monitor’s online Daily News Briefing (DNB) after reading February’s article “ ‘To lighten mankind’ ” by Rosalie Dunbar, and am delighted that my minimum daily requirement for keeping “abreast of the times” is now being met.

After subscribing I came across this previously unfamiliar sentence by Mary Baker Eddy in The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany: “My desire is that every Christian Scientist, and as many others as possible, subscribe for and read our daily newspaper” (p. 352).
