“The law is that we are healthier and happier for helping and healing others, it is only thus that we fulfill the law of Christ” (Mary Baker Eddy, L12629).
Those words opened The Mary Baker Eddy Library’s program on June 6, 2015, “Building on the foundation of Christ-healing: from The Mary Baker Eddy Library collections.” The words, included in a 1902 letter Eddy wrote to Charlottie “Lottie” Allan, emphasized the program’s relation to the 2015 Annual Meeting theme: “ ‘A spiritual foundation of Christ-healing’—continuing to build.”
The program highlighted Eddy’s correspondence and instruction to students and followers as well as examples of Christ-healing.
