Some time ago I had a small growth under one arm that was very painful when touched or disturbed. I could not wash normally on that part of my skin because of the pain, and I had the impression the growth was getting larger.
For many years I have relied on Christian Science treatment for healing, rather than on material medication, and so it was natural for me to rely on Christian Science in this case.
As I prayed about the situation, I knew that discord of any kind was clearly not part of the perfect, eternal, infinite, spiritual man that we learn about when studying Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. In the Glossary of Science and Health, for example, man is defined as “the compound idea of infinite Spirit; the spiritual image and likeness of God; the full representation of Mind” (p. 591).
