From the September 2016 issue of The Christian Science Journal

This article from the June Journal, Why seek less than the kingdom of God?” by Jeramy Alice Shays, has been my “go-to” inspiration for the last two to three weeks, since I discovered it. I have studied it, cherished the ideas in it, and put them into practice in many phases of my life. This is so instructive and is set up as not just theory but has practical steps to take to make it your own.

I especially love the line, “Seeking and finding the kingdom of heaven is actually the habitual relinquishing of the suggestion that we are mortals with separate minds, and the trustful yielding to God as the one divine Mind, which is ever expressing itself in man.” It reminds me of the last lines in Hymn 73: “Losing self, in Him we find / Joy, health, hope, for all mankind” (Christian Science Hymnal). Yes, this is a “practical habit” to put into practice each moment.
