I rejoiced as I climbed back up a steep trail in Australia’s Blue Mountains recently, after going down it to see a beautiful waterfall. The trail was about 2 kilometers (1¼ miles) long each way and 400 meters (1,300 feet) in elevation change. I was happy to complete the hike with no negative effects at all, as a result of two prior healings I’d had of knee injuries.
One of these healings had taken place many years ago, after I had injured both knees during a backpacking trip on the Wonderland Trail in Washington State, and had to leave my hiking companions early. After several weeks of prayer, my knees were healed and there were no lingering symptoms.
The other healing of a knee injury took place about five years ago. It was a turning point in my practice of Christian Science. It happened like this.
