Discouragement dissolved

[“The new spirit rising,” Margaret Rogers, June 2017, Journal]

This article has really made me think more deeply. It dissolved discouragement and helped me on my journey to become a better healer and a more dedicated church member.

Renewed outreach

[“Reaching the seekers through prayer today,” Lori Biesterfeldt, June 2017, Journal]

Thank you for this article. Our church is about to complete a small expansion and complete renovation of our Reading Room, and the ideas shared in this article will be a fine guide to each of our members and Reading Room staff as we look forward to our renewed outreach and healing opportunities.

Awakened to life

[“My journey to understand our uninterrupted divine Life,” Jeremy Batchelor, May 2017, Journal]

Reading this article brings back some struggles I had when my Christian Science teacher passed on right after I attended her class. Later, two wonderful, caring, and effective practitioners passed on suddenly. I was completely devastated in each instance. All three of these lovely people had effectively helped me many times in my struggles with health problems. They will always have a special place in my heart.

After realizing the utter unreality of death in each case, and knowing that they had only “checked out” from their present address to a new one, I lovingly left them in God’s hands, knowing they had awakened from a false sense of death to the Life that is God. Thank you for a most illuminating article!

A place in god’s kingdom

[“Righteous living and good government,” Lyle Young, May 2017, Journal

In these troubled political times, I would add one more thought to Mr. Young’s comments. Contrary to popular opinion in many parts of society, every one of us already has an undeniable place in the kingdom of heaven. This realization has helped me greatly in recent times to separate the lies—that mortal, materialistic logic presents to my own thinking about other people—from the genuine spiritual realities each one of us represents.
