I would like to express gratitude for a quick healing I had through the application of Christian Science. The week before Christmas last year, I began to experience symptoms of a cold. I gave myself Christian Science treatment, affirming God’s goodness and allness, as well as my—and everyone’s—inseparability from God as His beloved spiritual child.
However, I realized I was also harboring feelings of frustration about the prospect of going through an illness during the holiday. I called a Christian Science practitioner to pray for me as well, to help me feel more of God’s love in that moment.
As the practitioner and I prayed, I realized that in the weeks prior, I had felt caught up in the busyness of the holiday season. It seemed I had lost my sense of awe, joy, and gratitude for the holiness of the Christ’s appearing that we celebrate at Christmas.
