2018 per capita tax message

From the February 2018 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Dear Fellow Member,

As we look out from our office windows these days, we’re seeing extensive and unusual activity. Needed renovations to The Mother Church edifices are in full swing. At the same time the Christian Science Plaza is in the middle of a comprehensive restoration and revitalization. It’s evident that a lot of progress is going on.

Looking further to the worldwide Field of Christian Scientists, we’re also seeing progress. There are heartening signs of spiritual revitalization, and that of course is the most basic building activity there can possibly be. The Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, writing to members of a newly dedicated branch church, referred to the “unselfed love that builds without hands” (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 195).
