Some time ago, I was enjoying a reunion with two dear friends from other parts of the country who had come to visit me in my new home. My friends and I are of different cultural and religious backgrounds. But these differences are insignificant compared to our common values and love for each other.
One particularly beautiful morning, the conversation turned to their interest in my well-being. I wasn’t surprised by this, as we were together for the first time since my husband’s passing and my relocation to a new state.
I reassured them that all was well, and to prove that I was adjusting to the changes in my life, I recounted the long list of new activities that now filled my days.
