Healing of injured arm

From the July 2018 issue of The Christian Science Journal

As a student of Christian Science I have had the opportunity to witness many healings for others as well as for myself. Praying with the many resources for studying and practicing Christian Science—including the Bible, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy, the Christian Science Sentinel, The Christian Science Journal, The Christian Science Monitor, and the Christian Science Hymnal—I have been healed of bone deterioration, periodontal disease, and hypothyroidism (see “Hypothyroidism healed,” Sentinel, December 3, 2012).

A recent healing I wish to share happened last August.

Every Thursday, I watch a young family member whom I think of as my granddaughter. One day as we planned our activities together, we stopped at a grocery store and picked up some of her favorite foods. As I was walking toward the dairy aisle I slipped and fell. It happened so fast that it took a moment for me to be able to think. I had fallen on my left arm. People standing by asked if I needed assistance getting up, but I assured them I was OK. My left arm, however, was immobile.
