About ten years ago my husband began detecting a gradual loss of vision in his right eye, which continued until all vision in the eye was lost. He asked me to pray with him for healing through Christian Science treatment.
At the time, we were struggling with the negative impact of the Great Recession on our business. Many local businesses in our trade were closing. To keep the company viable, we found it necessary to cut both our own and our employees’ wages substantially.
During the next year and a half, we humbly prayed for understanding and wisdom to know how to proceed. We were confident our desire to bear witness to God’s abundant goodness would take tangible form. Our thoughts were leavened spiritually every day through rejecting aggressive fears and affirming our true, real, spiritual being—that we actually live in Spirit, not matter, governed by Spirit’s sweet harmonies.
