Could Reading Rooms ever fail to fulfill divine Love's purpose?

Yes, they could, but only if we allow them to fail. The means to make each Reading Room a success is prayer that can keep us alert to the modes of mortal mind and enable us to challenge them.

Prayer has many dimensions. Pure desire, for example, can be a form of prayer, because desire implies far more than complacent acceptance. To desire something is to long for it. Mrs. Eddy writes, "If our petitions are sincere, we labor for what we ask; and our Father, who seeth in secret, will reward us openly."Science and Health, p. 13;
