A system of spiritual education in Christian healing was established by Mary Baker Eddy with the founding of the Massachusetts Metaphysical College in 1881. Under its state charter she taught many, many students, who faithfully carried onward the teaching and practice of Christian Science healing.
The Religion Communicators Council recently awarded the Journal the DeRose-Hinkhouse Certificate of Merit for a series of articles that appeared between June 2002 and December 2002. This series chronicled the first century of publishing at its sister periodical, The Herald of Christian Science.
Theme: Reflection Eligibility: All 13-19 year olds may participate. The three winning photos will be published in the Teen Herald 2003.

Since 1904, faculty and students have been providing opportunities for people on university and college campuses to become familiar with practical concepts in Science and Health. These faculty and students, members of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, have formed organizations that are open to participation by students and faculty on their campus, regardless of their individual faith traditions.
