A Special Gift for You

The CD-Rom at right is a gift for you in commemoration of the opening of The Mary Baker Eddy Library for the Betterment of Humanity this month. It contains selections from the Library's historic collections that were read and recorded in the Original Edifice of The Mother Church at 2002 Annual Meeting & Conference.

Religious teamwork for peace

The purpose of United Religions Initiative is "to promote enduring, daily interfaith cooperation, to end religiously motivated violence and to create cultures of peace, justice and healing for the Earth and all living beings. " URI is cooperative in structure, formed of self-organizing groups—cooperative circles—that are locally rooted and globally connected.

The Religion Communicators Council is an interfaith association of over 500 print and electronic religion publishing professionals, to which several members of the editorial staff of The Christian Science Publishing Society belong. This council holds two annual competitions.

The many gifts, including an original letter written by Mary Baker Eddy, rare editions of Science and Health, books and magazines from the 1900s, and period photographs, will help to document the ideas and life Mary Baker Eddy.

We'll take you inside the library even while the hammers are still pounding and the collections are being reviewed and prepared for reading and research.
