Where to find a lecture

From the October 2002 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In the past, lectures on Christian Science were often—even usually—given in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. But today branches are going to the public with their lectures. And they're seeing good results. Here are some of the venues in which lectures or lecture workshops have been given in the last year:

Another church's pulpit

At a conference for alcohol and drug abuse

On a radio talk show, aired to millions
at 2:00 a.m.

In an airplane hangar

In a chamber of commerce

A conference for pediatricians

A firehouse

A Catholic support group

In a college-level course on African American literature

A class on nursing

A medical school course

A Jewish community center

A women's history panel

An AIDS health fair
