Century has followed century nineteen times since the man of Nazareth uttered holy words which he prophesied would never pass away. They have hung in the thoughts of men like music of the spheres.

" Thou shalt not covet," as set down in Exodus 20:17 , is applied as surely to one's neighbor's dwelling as to his wife; to his household animals as to his servants; so the conclusion is reached that this covetous attitude of thought must be avoided concerning "any thing that is thy neighbour's. Mortal man spends his days endlessly searching, seeking to find those things he believes he lacks. Health, love, peace of mind, and companionship are but a few of the things he believes are exterior to himself—far-off and ofttimes unreachable bits of heaven that he feels he can't hope to experience here and now.

Christ Jesus ' healing work demonstrated the nature of Truth by showing its beneficial effect on humanity. His teaching and practice made plain that human life is not to be destroyed or abandoned, but is to be improved and made fruitful in order to glorify God.
