Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

Many people first fell the salutary effects of Christian Science in their lives through physical healing. But continuance in the study and application of its rules soon reveals the fact that physical healing is not the primary mission of Christian Science, though it is important as a demonstration of the power and availability of God to correct discords in human experience.
When Christ Jesus healed the ten lepers, as recounted in the seventeenth chapter of Luke's Gospel, "one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God. " Then Jesus said: "Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
To describe a person as a practical Christian is highest praise. We think immediately of one who communes with God and practices the spiritual knowledge gained.
While perusing a copy of the daily press a student of Christian Science began to read what appeared to be an ordinary newspaper article, only to discover that he was actually reading an advertisement for an automatic dishwashing machine. This ingeniously disguised advertisement bore the improbable title, "Where do your dreams go when you have woken up?" The query prompted a line of thought as follows: whether or not we are Christian Scientists, we know the answer to this question.
The many types of communication in the world of today make it necessary for one correctly to evaluate these messages in order to protect one's thinking and behavior. A good example of how to do this was given by Christ Jesus.

This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord.
Mankind long for stability, but in the main they just do not know where or how to find it. Because stability originates in God, divine Principle, this desirable quality can be attained only as the human heart turns its search Godward and ceases looking to matter for what it does not possess and therefore cannot impart.
A Great achievement in history has been the orbiting of a human being around the globe in a capsule with unthwarted speed, precision, control, and safety. Far greater, however, is the gaining of the spiritual, or metaphysical, sense of orbit.
