A Music teacher was carefully working with a young pupil during her piano lesson. Several times the same mistake was made because the child did not start out correctly.

In human experience we sometimes encounter disappointments, frustrations, little nagging errors. We may reach for perfection, but not quite attain what our heart desires.

Jesus said, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another" ( John 13:34 ). Why did he say this was a new commandment? Since the Old Testament theology portrayed God as capable of wrath and vengeance as well as of love, it had no basis for teaching that individuals should love everyone.

" A Certain man had two sons: and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me" ( Luke 15:11, 12 ). Responding to the request, the father "divided unto them his living.

In our day-to-day experiences it is right for us to feel secure; but security is not found in matter, nor does it derive from material reasoning. It comes with the realization that we abide in God, divine Love.

Christian Science teaches its adherents to rely wholly on the spiritual power of prayer in overcoming their physical difficulties. They learn to turn unreservedly to God for healing, if sickness, disease, or accident seems to come into their experience.

We hear a great deal about academic freedom. Usually this is taken to mean either the right to explore any subject and be free from censure or the right of any qualified student to study at public institutions regardless of race or personal associations.

Should one be tempted to believe that he has a problem which cannot be solved or to think that his situation in life is hopeless, let him consider these words of Jeremiah (32:17) :"Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee. " Why, then, assured of the unlimited might of God, does one seem at times to be incapable of demonstrating the harmony of his true being? That is, why does not the perfection of the man of God's making always appear in the form of health, joy, safety, abundance, and peace? Mrs.

Many people first fell the salutary effects of Christian Science in their lives through physical healing. But continuance in the study and application of its rules soon reveals the fact that physical healing is not the primary mission of Christian Science, though it is important as a demonstration of the power and availability of God to correct discords in human experience.

When Christ Jesus healed the ten lepers, as recounted in the seventeenth chapter of Luke's Gospel, "one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God. " Then Jesus said: "Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
