To a large and growing number of people in many countries, scientific prayer as taught in Christian Science is the most significant development in the modern world—the one surpassing all others in promise for mankind. Their estimate of it stems partly from the nature of the prayer itself; for even before witnessing any of its results, they have often been much impressed by its definite character, its logic, and its apparent scope.
As far as the Gospels and historical records are concerned, all those who earnestly turned to Christ Jesus in their need were quickly healed. Christian Science, which is the Science of Christian healing as Jesus demonstrated it, also heals quickly when properly understood and applied.

On learning of Christian Science healing for the first time, some people say, "I wish I could believe that. " This statement, in a measure, epitomizes mankind's yearning for a way out of the misapprehensions and limitations imposed on them by illusive human theories and doctrines.
