The human Jesus, the son of the Virgin-mother, is no longer with us; but the Christ, the spiritual idea, which Christ Jesus recognized and brought to light in his healing works, is never absent. In this age the Christ is becoming truly understood through the discovery by Mary Baker Eddy of the Science of Christ Jesus' healings and teachings.

As faithful followers of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, students of Christian Science must apprehend fully the position of the Christian Science Sunday School as a power for good in the community. It is surely important for communities to be freed from juvenile delinquency, accidents, and disease.

Starting from the standpoint of God's allness and goodness as Christian Science reveals them, prayer is the joyous acknowledgment and appreciation of the spiritual nature and perfection of all true being. Such prayer allows for no wishful thinking, doubt, or fear.

Modern doctors and psychiatrists agree with what Christian Science has been proclaiming to the world for over seventy-five years, namely that negative and morbid thinking has a bad effect on the body. But there the agreement ends.

When we consider a building, a bridge, an airplane, or any one of the variety of modern-day useful wonders, we might well ponder the questions: What is the actual substance of this project? What is it that gives a building its usefulness, an airplane its capacity to fly, or a bridge its serviceability and dependability? Certainly it is the intelligence that conceived it and brought it forth. Without intelligence there would be nothing but a useless, shapeless mass of raw material without meaning.

Everyone recognizes the importance of looking in the direction in which he is going, whether traveling on the highway, selecting the college to further his education, or searching for health. There is great need today for physical, moral, and spiritual health in the business world, in politics, and in the relationship of all peoples of the earth.

Each member of the Church of Christ, Scientist, would do well to remind himself often of the purpose for which Mary Baker Eddy founded this Church, lest he take his membership for granted and so lose something of his first joy. Whereas a young student may eagerly study the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and other writings by Mrs.

As we go about our daily affairs it is not an unusual experience to hear people discussing their problems. One may say that his problem is ill-health; another that it is lack.

Perhaps in no one thing is Mary Baker Eddy more vindicated as God's appointed revelator than in the unfailing consistency of her statement of the truth. Even as she has given us seven synonyms for the one God, so has she patiently presented His law and its operation from countless viewpoints.

" What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?" ( Ps. 8:4.
