“To decide quickly as to the proper treatment of error—whether error is manifested in forms of sickness, sin, or death—is the first step towards destroying error. ” This statement in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, on page 463 , has often given me food for thought.

Mary Baker Eddy writes of her early exposure to the Congregational Church when, even while she was in her cradle, her devout parents regularly offered prayers and hymns that provided a spiritual culture that pervaded the home (see Message to The Mother Church for 1901, p. 31 ).
