Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

SCIENTIFIC EDUCATION

A GREAT deal of thought and discussion is being centered today upon academic education. But the public generally still remains unaware of the great need for individual spiritual advancement.

"WITH DRUGS, OR WITHOUT"

AT a vaudeville performance which the writer attended, a professional hypnotist induced a boy who consented to be his subject to believe he was eating ice cream and had spilled some on his coat. He took out his handkerchief and to the amusement of the audience went through the motions of removing the sticky substance.

THE MAJESTY AND MIGHT OF THE WORD OF GOD

THE Word of God declaring the presence of the Christ, Truth, with men has been revealed to the receptive heart in all ages. This Word is eternal, for it is God's message showing forth the eternal covenant of God with man which, the Bible declares, "liveth and abideth for ever.

THE MAN OF GOD'S CREATING

HUMAN understanding has been greatly enriched through the teaching of Christian Science regarding man, namely, that because he is created in God's, Spirit's, image, he must perforce be spiritual. Thus thought is led away from a material concept of man to the true concept.

JESUS drew richly upon the divine Mind for inspiration and thus was enabled to expose the inconsistencies of so-called human nature in his parables in ways that burn deep into human consciousness. His great parable of the sower (Matt.

"WHATSOEVER DOTH MAKE MANIFEST IS LIGHT"

LIGHT has ever been the symbol of enlightenment and progress. By its very nature it uncovers the insubstantiality of darkness.

PROMISE AND GUIDANCE

IN the first chapter of John's Gospel there is an account of how Nathanael became a disciple of the Master. At the close of the brief conversation between them Jesus uttered this promise ( verse 51 ): "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

PRACTICAL CONTROL

UNFAILING control is an objective which mankind forever seeks and forever fails to attain through human means and methods. Whether it is the control of oneself and one's personal affairs that is sought, the control of a business, a motor car, a ship, or an airplane, the control of a municipality, a state, a nation, or a group of nations, some combination of circumstances often arises which places the situation beyond control.
