FRIENDSHIP is precious and should be cherished, for to have a friend is to be rich indeed. True friendship goes beyond all human frailties and misunderstandings.

PROBABLY two of the greatest problems confronting mankind today are those of income and outgo. The view which sees income as something that must be earned by the sweat of the brow or by mere human smartness has not brought lasting security or success to anyone, and none may know this better than the employer and employee.

WHY should this happen to me? Why should I have to suffer so? Why should I have so much to meet? These and similar questions are often raised by those seeking an answer to the puzzles of daily living. Oddly enough, one seldom hears the questions: Why does so much good come to me? Why am I so greatly blessed? Mankind's questions usually have to do with the frustrations and not the benefactions of life.

WITHOUT a doubt Christ Jesus was the most successful Christianly scientific practitioner the world has ever known. Since the Master told his disciples that it was possible for them to follow his example as a healer, a demonstrator of spiritual law and its supremacy over matter, it will be helpful for us to ponder some of the reasons for his success and strive to apply them in our own lives.

AN allegory presents a story or moral lesson more graphically than it could be conveyed by literal terms. Mary Baker Eddy tells us that the teaching of spiritual truths must always be by symbols.

Should I submit to a medical examination if suffering from a disease which has not yielded to Christian Science treatment? Occasionally such a decision must be made by a student of this Science, and just what to do may seem perplexing. It is not recorded that Jesus of Nazareth, the master Metaphysician, ever inquired of a sick man which foot, or ear, or eye, or hand, or other part of the body was in distress.
