Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

THE LESSON OF JOB

The book of Job has long caused thinkers to ponder the questions it touches upon concerning God and man. It remained for Christian Science, however, to furnish the key to its spiritual message and give the answer to the question of true being.

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE IN A CHANGING WORLD

One of the most notable features in the modern world is the great rapidity of change. Those with recollections extending into the last century can recall changes in modes of living, means of transportation, and forms of government which seem quite incredible in retrospect.

VICTORY OVER ADVERSITY

The inspired writings of Mary Baker Eddy are today offering a satisfactory answer to the age-old question of how to meet and master the adverse conditions of human experience. In these writings the scientifically Christian method taught and utilized by Christ Jesus in demonstrating dominion over all evil is again made available to those who desire to exercise this dominion and are willing to strive for the spiritual understanding of God and man which is essential to the attainment of such sovereignty.

ESSENTIALS OF CHRISTIAN FAITH

Every religious belief must be based on a conception of God. The Bible reveals men's altering conception of the nature of Deity and their relationship to Him.

SUPPLY IS AT HAND

THE Bible story of Hagar and her little son Ishmael is probably the first record of displaced persons. This mother and her son, who were cast out, evicted from their home, and sent into the lonely and desolate wilderness of Beer-sheba, wandered there until their supply of water gave out.

TRUTH THE PROVIDER AND SAVIOUR

Joseph's ability to provide for a nation in time of famine followed his overcoming of the temptations to sin and to cherish resentment and revenge toward his enemies.

SENSITIVE TO GOOD ONLY

SINCE the word "sensitive" is closely related to the word "sense," it too can be considered as having two aspects, the false or corporeal sensitiveness and the true or spiritual sensitiveness. An illustration of these two kinds of sensitiveness is given in the Gospel of Luke, where he tells of the band of men who came to arrest Jesus.

SCIENTIFIC EXPANSION VERSUS INFLATION

TODAY the general presence of monetary inflation is causing concern to many persons. A serious problem is presented whenever the money of a country is depressed in value so as to make it difficult for its people to purchase the necessities of human life.

SPIRIT'S IRREVOCABLE LAW

" THERE is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death" ( Rom.

THE DIGNITY OF SOUL

THE dignity which remains loving in the face of the world's hatred and misunderstanding, peaceful amid turbulent trials, orderly when confusion would hold sway, and happy and free in the midst of sorrow, is that dignity of Soul which characterized the life and conversation of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. The student of Christian Science who understands the true nature of this quality cultivates and utilizes it in his daily life.
