Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

LIGHT THROUGH FAITH

A SOURCE of never-ending inspiration and spiritual education is found by the Christian Scientist in the first chapter of Genesis. However familiar it may become, it explores deeply into reality, and the Christian Scientist returns to it repeatedly.

LIFE NOW

THE writer in the flush of youthful enthusiasm once said, "I would gladly give the next twenty years of my life if I could at once be at that spiritual point of growth which I hope the next twenty years will unfold in me. " But once spoken she knew that there was something fundamentally wrong with her statement beyond the obvious impossibility of skipping over twenty years and the falsity that virtue and grace would necessarily increase with the passage of years.

RECONVERSION

THE human problems involved in converting a wartime economy into a peacetime state are sometimes confusing and perplexing when they are considered from the standpoint of outward appearances. To many this process of reconversion is beset by unknown factors which may cause them to look at the future with fear and trembling.

"THE HUMAN AND DIVINE COINCIDENCE"

IN the textbook of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," its author, Mary Baker Eddy, writes as follows ( p. 561 ): "John saw the human and divine coincidence, shown in the man Jesus, as divinity embracing humanity in Life and its demonstration,— reducing to human perception and understanding the Life which is God.

ELIJAH

IN the light of Christian Science the title "Elijah" implies far more than the name of a man who demonstrated the power of God during the reign of Ahab, king of Israel. The significance of Elijah is both timeless and impersonal, for the name stands for that quality of spiritual discernment which beholds the omnipotence of God and is, consequently, fearless and uncompromising.

LIGHT

THAT light exists coincident with the true creation and is, therefore, wholly spiritual in its nature is evidenced by the fact that the divine mandate, "Let there be light," follows almost immediately upon the opening of the inspired record in the first chapter of Genesis. Humanity has for countless centuries ceaselessly strained toward this light and in periods of doubt, darkness, and uncertainty has turned to the divine source for comfort and guidance.

WHAT IS SUCCESS?

THE desire for success is so universal that books have been written, lectures and sermons delivered, with the hope of setting forth formulas for its attainment. Efforts based upon human theories may be directed toward worthy ends, and they may involve the use of such qualities as patience, perseverance, and courage; nevertheless, it is only as thought is divested of the sense of human personality and its accompanying phases of materialism and limitation that lasting success is achieved.

THE CHRIST IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

EVERY true Christian has an international outlook by reason of the international nature of Christianity. He is increasingly aware that good is universal, infinite, confined to no country or race; and this good he understands to be God, the one Mind or intelligence, the only Father and Mother, who has impartially endowed all His children with the inalienable rights of freedom and equality.

"THE GLORY OF THE LORD SHALL BE REVEALED"

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE opens the door to the spiritual understanding of man's unity with God, whereby he learns that the kingdom of heaven is present here. He who stays mentally on spiritual heights of Love can never be touched by evil.

"THE OFFICE OF CHRIST, TRUTH"

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE has reinstated the true meaning of the Christ-idea, which had been obscured by false theology, and explains and proves by demonstration the office of Christ and its relation to humanity. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, defines Christ in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," in these words ( p.
