Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

AS TREES IN THE WIND

In a strange city, among new acquaintances, a young student of Christian Science found comfort in observing a lovely little willow tree across the street from her home. She enjoyed its dainty dignity, its flexibility and grace.

NOW

All that ever has been or ever can be is now, in the realm of the real. Students of Christian Science are growing in the understanding that God's work is complete, and that it is good.

OVERCOMING DECEPTIVE ILLUSIONS

What a blessing we receive when we discern Life as God, good, and man as God's reflection! In the kaleidoscope of human life, multifarious manifestations of evil present false pictures to us. Sin, disease, disaster, death, seem real to mortal sense, but Christian Science shows them to be deceptive illusions, or untrue suggestions of mortal mind, not ideas or facts of true existence.

IMPERSONALIZING GOOD

The author notes that seeing “God as the only source of good brings freedom and expansion of abilities impossible to a personal sense of goodness.”

THE ATTRACTION OF SPIRIT

On page 102 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, makes this arresting and conclusive statement: "There is but one real attraction, that of Spirit. The pointing of the needle to the pole symbolizes this all-embracing power or the attraction of God, divine Mind.

THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE TREATMENT

THE PERPETUITY OF INDIVIDUALITY

Christian Science teaches that true individuality reveals man because it reflects and expresses God, whereas the false sense of personality conceals the individuality it counterfeits. The perpetuity of individual being is a necessary corollary of immortality.

LUKE'S GOSPEL FOR THE GREEKS

The evangelist Luke appears to have been somewhat at a disadvantage as compared with the other three Gospel writers, at least to this extent, that he was not a personal disciple of the Master, and does not seem to have been in intimate contact with one of the original apostles, as was Mark. On the other hand, a careful study of Luke's Gospel and of the book of Acts, shows the writer to have been a historian of marked ability.

TESTIMONIES

Mrs. Eddy was fully aware of the necessity of proving that the Science she had discovered would relieve humanity of its burden of sin and disease.

PIONEERS OF SPIRITUAL THINKING

A glorious account of the pioneers of spiritual truth is given us in the Bible. Abraham, who was called to leave his country and kindred, is followed by Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, and Joshua, all of whom were courageous, successful pioneers, having made new discoveries concerning the power of God; and they left the world greatly enriched in righteousness.
