FIRST, A FULL DISCLOSURE. My first jobs at the Christian Science Publishing Society involved marketing research in support of The Christian Science Monitor's advertising and circulation sales activities, as well as editorial product evaluation.

EVERY YEAR ON EASTER SUNDAY, millions of Christians celebrate Jesus' resurrection of his body from the dead some 2,000 years ago. This time-honored event deserves recognition and celebration.

SEVERAL YEARS AGO AT EASTER, when visiting Salisbury Cathedral in England, I found one of the hymns sung by the huge congregation to be tremendously moving. The voices of these 21st-century Christians, resonating among massive stone pillars and arches, seemed almost to be blending with the voices of all those who had worshipped there centuries before.

"WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAD [fill in the blank with any illness or injury]?" Most students of Christian Science have been asked this question by interested inquirers at one time or another. This is an intelligent question, and I'm grateful for every person who wants to understand why Christian Scientists confidently rely on Christian Science treatment for healing.
